Alfred Mwila

Director Economic Regulation, Energy Regulation, Board of Zambia


An economist with over 20 years of professional and academic experience. Prior to joining the ERB he was Assistant Director – Research and Policy at Zambia Revenue Authority. He has a broad range of experience dealing with all aspects of economic analysis, econometrics, research and corporate administration. A graduate of economics from University of Zambia (Bachelors); Colorado University (Post Grad Dip) and North Carolina A & T State University (Masters), He also has certification in PRINCE II, a tool for project management. Mr Mwila has professional experience spanning across academia; public and private sectors. He has significant experience in planning, organizing, directing and monitoring progress. His employment history includes working as a full-time lecturer in Micro/Macroeconomics, price analysis, marketing and econometrics at UNZA, Zambia National Farmers’ Union as National Economist. He has also worked as Deputy Country representative for USAID Famine Early System. He is a member of the Economics Association of Zambia and US Southern Economics Association.
