Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security Botswana
Honourable Advocate Sadique Kebonang was elected Member of Parliament for Lobatse Constituency and later to Cabinet as Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry in October 2014, after the National General Elections. He was later appointed Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, in October 2016. Prior to joining active politics, he was the Managing Partner of Sadique Kebonang Attorneys.
He has served as Executive Director of Choppies Group of Companies, which is listed in the Botswana Stock Exchange, as Director and shareholder of Honeyguide (Pty) Ltd; Executive Chairman and Shareholder of Coromex Service (Pty) Ltd and of a local newspaper - The Patriot.
He has served in a number of Boards such as National Food Technology Research Centre, Public Enterprise Evaluation and Privatization Agency (PEEPA) and the Botswana Police Council.
Honourable Advocate Kebonang holds a Masters of Laws from the University of Botswana, MBA from De-Montfort University (UK)and LLB from the University of Botswana. A member of the Botswana Law Society in good and regular standing,he was admitted as an advocate of the High Court and other courts of the Republic of Botswana in 2015.
