About Us

EnergyNet has been producing investment forums and executive dialogues for Africa and Latin America's power sectors for the last 25 years - in Europe, the USA, Asia and across Africa and Latin America.

We work with governments and national utilities to facilitate investment summits where credible international investors can build relationships with public sector stakeholders to advance access to power.

Best known for the Africa Energy Forum, the longest serving business development meeting place for senior level decision makers in Africa’s power sector, other leading investment summits we produce provide strategic perspectives on the investment landscape and project preparation include the Powering Africa SummitLatin American Energy Forum and Latin American & Caribbean Gas Conference and Exhibition.

Having this focus on public and private sector partnerships provides us a valuable lens through which we can offer independent perspectives and support the business development activities of companies from around the world operating in these fast growing markets. To support these insights, our team talks with stakeholders across Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean on a daily basis, so relationships and investor insights are both our business and our passion.

Drop us a line - we'd love to hear from you.

“Meetings that usually take place over six months can be completed in three days… we only do one show a year and it’s this one. We do one and do it well.” Matteo Brambilla, Managing Director, Building Energy

“We have a very strong Africa Portfolio so it made sense for us to sponsor aef.. in India, we have gone through many of the same energy challenges that Africa is now currently going through so are in a perfect place to assist. This event will let the world see us!” Deepak Thakur, CEO, Sterling & Wilson

“Congratulations to you and the EnergyNet team for putting on such a successful conference.  I have always found your team to be incredibly well-organized, professional and communicative, which supports speakers to do their best in preparing for an interesting exchange of ideas. aef is certainly my favourite conference to attend, I always get so much out of it. It’s a great venue for connecting with counterparties, industry experts, and old colleagues and friends.  The mix of public and private sector participants makes for interesting debate and conversation.” Bonnie Guo, Project Finance Director, Energy & Infrastructure, OPIC

“That connectivity and that energy, being together in the same place, for a finite period of time, to discuss and exchange information - there are always, always, always important things that come out [of it]. For us, as practitioners in this space, not to come to the Forum would be an issue” Dimitri Papaefstratiou, Partner, DLA Piper

“A great opportunity for my Ministry to interact with potential investors… I am looking forward to having a success story from the relationships I formed with some of the companies I met” Frank Tinarwo, Principal Energy Development Officer, Ministry of Energy & Power Development, Zimbabwe

"Hands down one of the best events to network with government officials and have honest conversations on stage, as well as the private sector who tells you where the real issues and obstacles are... we can have conversations together with development partners, government, private sector, and work out how we can advance the power sector together" Andy Herscowitz, Co-ordinator, Power Africa

“From Istanbul, Dubai, Mauritius last year, and now Lisbon; aef continues to go from strength to strength” Patrick O’Driscoll, Director of Sales, Karpowership
