Associação Lusófona de Energias Renováveis (ALER)
ALER is a non-profit association with the mission to promote renewable energies in Portuguese-speaking countries.
As such, ALER will facilitate business opportunities by supporting the private sector, will liaise with national and international authorities to create a favourable regulatory framework, and will coordinate all stakeholders, acting as a cooperation platform and the common voice of renewable energies in Portuguese-speaking countries.
ALER has two sections, one dedicated to Large Scale grid-connected Projects and another to Small Scale rural electrification Projects. In the scope of the later section ALER also has a social role, by taking advantage of the social benefits of renewable energies and thus contributing to the Millennium Development Goals of reducing poverty and ensuring universal energy access.
ALER has all types of Members, both from the public and private sector, including Governments and third sector entities.
