The Facility for Energy Inclusion is a debt financing facility for small-scale energy access projects - off-grid solar, small IPPs, captive installations and mini-grids. The Facility is a $500m initiative capitalised by the African Development Bank, the European Union, Norfund, NDF, GEF, CTF, All-On and a range of  commercial investors. FEI operates through two fund windows, OGEF, supporting off-grid retail customers, and FFI focusing on commercial customer or remote grid areas. The Facility will structure transactions, engage local capital markets, finance projects and companies, and accelerate access to clean energy across Africa, providing loans in USD and local currency.
