Why Portugal?

Connecting Europe and Africa: Portugal is closing the deal on the Portugal – Morocco interconnection project, enabling both countries to reinforce their renewable energy investment strategies and increase export and import between Europe and Africa.

Experience in deploying effective reliable renewable technologies: In 2016 Portugal was powered with 100% renewable energy- it ran on just wind, solar and hydro-generated electricity for 107 hours!

Portugal’s successful experience in investing in Portuguese speaking countries: Angola, Mozambique, Equatorial Guinea and Guinea-Bissau all have interesting investment opportunities. What lessons can be learnt from Portugal?
