Our Commitment to Inclusion and Diversity
At aef 2012 only 9% of participants were women (out of 700 delegates), compared to 91% men. We have consciously worked hard over the years to address this imbalance and to ensure more equal gender representation. Although not quite there yet, we are pleased to report progress with 23% of aef 2018 participants being women. In Lisbon we expect over 25% female participants from over 3,000 delegates – that’s more female delegates attending this year than the total number of aef 2012 delegates! To celebrate this and to highlight the importance of inclusion and diversity, all sessions at aef 2019 will be moderated by brilliant women in the sector.
