Networking

Quality networking opportunities with the right people

For the last 20 years aef has been the annual gathering for Africa’s energy sector, gathering governments, utilities, power developers, financial institutions, power technology providers, EPC contractors and consultants from all over the world.

The Forum has evolved into the number one platform to attend meetings, do deals and drive projects forward, all under one roof.  With a 991% increase in attendees since the first Africa Energy Forum, it’s clear the appetite for investment in Africa’s energy sector shows no signs of abating.

Networking highlights for 2020

Africa pavilion

For the first time ever, we’ll be organising targeted 1-2-1 meetings between selected aef partners and public sector country delegations. The country delegations will be led by Ministers, Heads of Utilities and Regulators.

Weclome Drinks reception

aef will host a networking drinks reception at the close of day one - this is a great opportunity to dive into meeting as speakers and exhibitors as possible in an informal setting before the conference is in full swing.

AFSIA solar awards

We’re delighted to partner with the Africa Solar Industry Association (AFSIA) who will host their solar awards ceremony during aef 2020. This annual event will recognize and celebrate exceptional talent and achievements in the African solar market.

aef TV returns

aef TV returns in 2020, giving exclusive insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by the brightest and best leaders in Africa's energy space. Interviews are shared widely after the conference and hosted on the aef website for 12 months.
