Principal Investment Officer, IFC
Dany Vardi is a Principal Investment Officer at IFC, the private sector arm of the World Bank. He covers Infrastructure investments, both debt and equity, in Sub Saharan Africa based out of IFC’s headquarters in Washington DC. Whilst focusing on traditional infrastructure and energy investments (he recently led the closing of the EUR 1.2bn Nachtigal hydro project in Cameroon), Dany also leads IFC’s Africa InfraTech group, an initiative aimed at accelerating the deployment of new technologies in Africa in the Infrastructure space. Prior roles at IFC include investing and financing Oil & Gas companies, and, before joining IFC, working for JPMorgan in the Energy & Utilities team in London. He holds an MA in Political Science & Finance from Sciences Po Paris, and an MA in Economics & Business from La Sapienza University in Rome.
