Mustapha is currently the Director Energy Trading of the Electricity Company of Ghana. He previously worked with the Planning Investment Programming and Environmental Safeguard Department of the West African Power Pool as a Project Coordinator for the Cross Border Supply of Electricity to Border Communities in West Africa. He was responsible for project preparation, seeking for funding, and monitoring. He also coordinated the studies for the Calculation of a Grid Emission Factor for the WAPP Interconnected network as well as coordination and development of Renewable Energy in WAPP including the World Bank's Solar Development in Sub-Saharan Africa Project (Solar SOP). Before joining WAPP in 2007, he worked as the Special Assistant to the Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing of Ghana. He holds an BA in Business Administration, a DES in Business Administration from Universite Paris I (La Sorbonne), a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance, Economics and Banking from CEFEB Paris. He also hold an LLB Degree from the University of Ghana and is a Barrister at Law.
