I am an electrical engineer with more than 35 years’ experience in leadership positions in the power industry with a focus on the management. I have held a range of senior management roles working on 4 continents. These have included COO of Guyana Power & Light, Head of T&D Capital & Maintenance Projects leading network infrastructure investment and maintenance programmes, covering a wide range of projects including flagship projects involving design and construction of overhead lines, underground and high voltage submarine cable installation, and substations both greenfield and upgrade; Head of T&D Contracted Projects Group responsible for overall management of T&D contracted projects with an annual capital budget of over €200 million, Head of ESB Networks (Ireland) – Safety, Health, Environment & Quality leading a change programme to achieve greater line management responsibility for safety; Head of Fibre-to-the-Building Project within Ireland, leading the strategic initiative to leverage ESB’s T&D assets to provide a national broadband infrastructure for Ireland.
Currently I am Chief Executive Officer of Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), leading a multinational team working to restore and grow Liberia’s electrical infrastructure, introduce utility industry standardization, address commercial losses, restore commercial viability and develop local management and technical capacity.
