Energy Specialist, RTI International
Gordon Shaw is an Energy Specialist with 10 years’ experience working in African countries on quantitative research, project design, and execution. Mr. Shaw leverages a strong technical background and cross-cultural management experience to develop key insights from projects and research. His work has included: managing pilot projects for innovative mini-grid systems, the application of solar irrigation systems to improve agricultural yields, research on market trends for energy spending and willingness to pay, and market deep-dives on the energy landscape in multiple countries. At RTI, Mr. Shaw takes on a variety of technical consulting and project management roles across RTI’s portfolio, in addition to supporting business development efforts. He is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Rwanda). He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, specialized in Energy Systems, from Columbia University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Toledo.
