Boubacar Mbodji

Technical Special Adviser to the President, Energy & Environment, Presidency of the Republic of Senegal


Dr. Boubacar Mbodji, Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Senegal, holds a PhD in Mechanics from the University of Sciences and Techniques of Languedoc, Montpellier, France in 1999-2000. From 2014-2020 he was the Special Advisor to the President of the Republic, Energy & Environment, working on the Community Development Emergency Program (PUDC), with a main focus on creation, elaboration and development of the project. He also covered the role as a Member of the committee for the preparation of texts of laws on oil and gas. During 2012-2013 Dr. Boubacar Mbodji was the primary Technical of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Ministry of Energy and Mines and during 2012-2014, Chairman of the approval committee for IPPs projects for the independent production of renewable energy (Bokhol, Synergy, Ten Merina, Malicounda, Taïba Ndiaye, Kahone, etc.)
