Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA)

The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) is established under the Energy Act of 2019, with the mandate to regulate, license, and oversee the energy and petroleum sectors in Kenya.

EPRA's mission is to ensure the provision of efficient, reliable, and affordable energy and petroleum products to support sustainable economic growth and development in Kenya. The Authority also plays a critical role in promoting the development and adoption of renewable energy sources in the country.

EPRA's participation in the Africa Energy Forum (AEF) is crucial to advancing its mission to promote sustainable energy development in Kenya and the region. The forum provides a platform for EPRA to share its experiences and insights with other African countries, learn from their successes and challenges, and forge partnerships to drive progress towards a more sustainable and inclusive energy future for Africa.
