Finnfund is a Finnish development financier with the mission to build a better world by investing in responsible and profitable businesses in developing countries. Addressing global challenges such as climate change, inequality and youth unemployment call for urgent private investments of an unprecedented scale. Finnfund and its partners help make those necessary investments happen in a sustainable and profitable manner.  Finnfund’s investment instruments include equity, mezzanine and long-term loans. We invest annually between 150 and 200 million euros on commercial terms in 20 to 30 projects, with a focus on renewable energy, forestry, agriculture and the financial sector. Finnfund’s assets total 500 million euros and we currently employ 80 people.
