The Africa Energy Forum 2022 was held on 21 - 24 June in Brussels under the theme ‘Africa for Africa: Building Energy for the Just Transition’. We will now start our journey to Nairobi, Kenya, where we will host our 25th Africa Energy Forum on 20-23 June 2023. Once again we unite governments, utilities and regulators with development finance institutions, commercial banks, power developers, technology providers, EPCs and professional services.
Over the last 24 years the Forum has earnt a reputation as the most meaningful gathering of decision-makers in African energy to form partnerships, identify opportunities and move the industry forward. We hand-pick the most credible organisations in the sector, delivering an intensive networking experience like no other.

African Energy Forum 2021 event was very successful and I would like to thank you for all your support. The venue is very well situated, the conference room was perfect and lunch in reception worked very well. From my perspective, the way you managed the aef21 was very great and the event days were exemplary. We will be back with more success, Inchallah, at aef 2022

Thank you again for your assistance during the aef event. After the Country Project Spotlight: Ghana session we were inundated with investors wanting to meet with us for further discussions. I want to say a big thank you for giving us the opportunity. Since the meeting, six investors have travelled to Ghana for further discussions on development opportunities in RE development.

It was an intense few days and for me a very good opportunity to catch up with a lot of people and explain SAPP’s current project development plans in more detail, and get feedback, than is possible over on-line meetings. I have a lot of following up to do. Thank you for all your efforts in getting it together.

It is absolutely true that AEF brings everyone to one place. The conference provided an extremely valuable opportunity to convene with key partners, meet new ones, learn about new initiatives, and confirm the trends we’ve been seeing across our portfolio... The invitees were spot-on – people I spoke to were ready and able to speak to the details of deals and technologies, and the result was that it felt like a very productive week.

The Youth Energy Summit (YES) will launched in Brussels. Find out how we are investing in the next generation of energy leaders.
